Self-care: Three simple steps to start you on the journey

Let’s talk about self-care!

First Self-care is super important you have to spend some time with yourself in order to be the best version of yourself.

Here are my three tips to help you.

 

1: Haircare matters 🙂

I always feel my best when I take care of myself. Taking the time to feel put together by making a couple of different choices that will save you time. As well as give you  the best-finished result.

a: Listen to your stylist on what shampoo and conditioner to use, I use Kevin Murphy that is especially for colored FINE hair.

b: Use a microfiber towel http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072S58KSY instead of a regular one as it absorbs the water meaning less rubbing and less heat so less damage. An added side effect is that it reduces frizz.

c: Use products for your hair that fit your type and style. I would reocmmend consulting with your stylist. For me, its a case of a little serum and a shine spritz!

 

2: Take care of your skin

I like to do this with a detoxifying mask while having some candles lit and some relaxing music, it’s just 5 minutes of peace and quiet all while taking care of the largest organ in your body

3: Get a hobby

Spending some time doing something just for you will lift your joy and fill your cup. Remember you cant help others, until you help yourself

As I like to say, self-care is more about taking a couple of moments for yourself. Taking that time to remember that you are worthwhile and put yourself first. I like to think of it as treating yourself in a way that you would treat someone you love. After all shouldn’t you love yourself?
